October 17 2013 Small Outlet

This somewhat innocuous little circle here is actually the outlet for a rather expensive air sampling instrument. It measures PM2.5 and is very portable so I have used a it for almost every study I have worked on for the last five years. It has always amused me that for everyone that works with them, it always takes a surprisingly long amount of time for them to realize where the outlet actually is. So I like this picture because this little circle is so important and yet so plain looking.

About jskuchta

I am just a guy who loves to explore the natural world. I love to hike and to take pictures of anything I find along the way from the smallest insect to the wide panorama of the sea. I am currently based in Toronto, Ontario but I like to travel everywhere I can. Here shall be a place for some of the things I find.
