November 11 2013 Empty Streets

Drive-2

Took a drive today to enjoy a bit of the sun this Remembrance day and I enjoyed that the streets were so empty today. It is a holiday here in Nova Scotia but to me it has never felt like a typical day off. For me it has always been a day of quiet solitude for thinking about those that came before. To look around and marvel at all that we take for granted now and just how much all the problems we face in our everyday lives just seem so small in comparison. I try to always remember that not just on Remembrance day but today is a just a good day to bring it to the forefront.

About jskuchta

I am just a guy who loves to explore the natural world. I love to hike and to take pictures of anything I find along the way from the smallest insect to the wide panorama of the sea. I am currently based in Toronto, Ontario but I like to travel everywhere I can. Here shall be a place for some of the things I find.
