Hike-3 Hike-4 Hike-13

Took a walk today at Duncan’s Cove. It is a not very well known trail, it is not marked, I only heard about it because it was mentioned on the internet. When I went looking for it I only found the trail because some people happened to be coming out of it. It is a beautiful walk along the coast which as you can see here had the remains of old World War 2 gun emplacements along the way. Presumably they were there in the event that Halifax Harbor was attacked, I love finding things like that. They always make me think about how big a thing History actually is and that every place has it’s stories..

About jskuchta

I am just a guy who loves to explore the natural world. I love to hike and to take pictures of anything I find along the way from the smallest insect to the wide panorama of the sea. I am currently based in Toronto, Ontario but I like to travel everywhere I can. Here shall be a place for some of the things I find.
